Celebrating 10 Years of Life-Transforming Dentistry

With a 19-strong team of clinicians, dental nurses, hygienists and our administrative team, it’s always someone’s birthday at Norfolk Dental Specialists. However, we recently celebrated an extra special birthday: our own. October 2016 marked ten years at our premises on 1 Victoria Street, and the celebrations rolled out over our anniversary week.

To commemorate the occasion, we commissioned a very special piece of artwork from St Martins Housing Trust, our charity of the year. The quirky painting created by the Under-1-Roof art group is now hanging proudly in our patients lounge after an unveiling ceremony with leaders from the charity.

Our very own Laura and Alison baked a fantastic cake that perfectly depicted our Georgian building, railings and birch tree, and even had everyone’s names iced on the side. Needless to say, we all brushed our teeth afterwards.

To top it all off, the whole team spent a Saturday afternoon at The Gherkin, enjoying spectacular views of the London skyline and a three-course meal at Searcys.

Throughout the week, we received cards and calls from our patients wishing us a happy anniversary.

At the end of a memorable week, our Director and Lead Clinician Hamed Karimi wrote a special statement reflecting on the past ten years at our Victoria Street premises, thanking everyone who helped us along the way.

“None of this would have been possible without the support, encouragement and dedication of our network of referring general dental practitioners throughout the East Anglia region. The relationships we have built over the years mean that we work collaboratively to provide an additional tier to support their work and provide treatments for complex cases, implants, oral health and hygiene maintenance.

The team at NDS are not only a dedicated group of highly skilled professionals but are also passionate about providing the very best patient care, and this has recently been acknowledged in the news that we have been selected as regional finalists of the Dentistry and Private Dentistry Awards.

However, without our patients, none of this would have happened. In 2015 we refreshed our branding and we asked some of our patients what it was that summed up the treatment they received at Norfolk Dental Specialists. We heard often that their treatment and the difference it had made to them was ‘life transforming’, so that's why that phrase has become part of the NDS logo and core to all that we do and believe in.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every patient we have seen over the last decade. We are glad to have been able to make a difference and look forward to the next ten years.”

In the past ten years, we have worked with 316 referring local dentists, welcomed 4,000 people through our doors, and placed 3004 implants. Who knows what we’ll achieve in the next ten years!
