With government mandated Covid restrictions being lifted on Monday July 19th and the emphasis shifting to personal responsibility, we thought we’d let our patients know that we have decided to keep our Covid Protocol in place for the time being.

Patient Triage

We will continue to ask our patients to answer a few short questions regarding their wellbeing on arrival at the practice. We believe simple measures like this, and temperature checks and hand hygiene, will limit the chances of an accidental transmission of Covid within the practice.

Masks and Ventilation

Dental Practices are clinical settings with a corresponding increased chance of transmission of infection if measures are not in place. With this in mind we are going to keep the requirement for all staff members and patients to wear masks when moving around the practice, and socially-distanced seating in communal areas. We have an advanced air purification and ventilation systems for our surgeries and keep the practice well ventilated.

At the very least, we will be keeping these measures in place until we hear from the Chief Dental Officer that best practice guidelines have been updated.

We hope that you understand and are reassured by this approach. Naturally, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the practice on 01603 632525.
