Periodontal Update Event at the Assembly House

The assembly house where the event will be held.

Our twice-yearly Update Events are a major feature in the calendar of training events we put on for our colleagues in the dental profession. The biannual Update Event (this one is focused on Periodontics, but previous Updates have included lectures on Implants and Endodontics) has outgrown its previous venue. Last October, we moved it to the Assembly House on Theatre Street. We’re back there again this year for the latest Update Event that will be taking place on Tuesday May 15th.

Continuing Professional Development

The Periodontal Update Event is free to attend for all GDPs and Hygienists. It is an opportunity to get up-to-date with the latest developments in the specialised care of periodontal treatment. Attendees will hear three 30 minute lectures on relevant topics and be able to claim the hours as CPD. The event is a great chance to network with other GDPs and the specialists giving the lectures.

Three of our dental specialists will be delivering a lecture during the event:

Dr Hamed Karimi – Tooth Mobility in Periodontal Cases

  • Refresh diagnosis of mobility
  • Understand the causes of mobility
  • Treatment options for periodontally mobile teeth

Dr Imran Sharif – Gingival Swelling, Is It a Concern?

  • Review the classification, aetiology and risk factors for gingival swelling
  • Refresh skills in the appropriate management of lesions

Dr Aaron Lopez – Soft Tissue Augmentation in Edentulous Areas

  • Assess ridge defects
  • Understand the different surgical procedures
  • Compare different grafts

If you are interested in attending our latest Periodontal Update Event in the Assembly House, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can call our reception on 01603 632525 or email teresa@ndspecialists.uk.
